SUMMER PROGRAM 2021: Pre/K (Children's House)
Children's House I: Mindfulness & Inner Peace (Full Day)

Ages: For students 2 years, 9 months to 6 years old
Your child will join our skilled and inspired staff for fun in the sun and shade led by a Montessori trained Lead Teacher. Classrooms at the Montessori School of Northampton are thoughtfully prepared environments set up to inspire creative play, independence, and joy. The program’s low teacher to child ratio supports individualized time with students and creates a relaxed, summer pace. The children are encouraged to make their own play choices from the different areas of the classroom: Reading Loft, Everyday Living, Peace Corner, Blocks, puzzles, games, and other engaging manipulatives. Fantasy play is encouraged! Each two-week session highlights a different theme. Our resident artist plans daily art projects related to the session's theme. At circle times, classroom teachers explore the theme through books, songs, and teacher presentations. The program features fun outdoor play in a park-like setting, wading pools, water play (PM only), and a large children’s playground. We offer indoor fun in one of the best-equipped, most beautiful classroom environments in the Pioneer Valley.
Children bring bag lunch and AM/ PM snacks.

Outdoor class time will occur under a large tent or on our expansive playground.
